It is not necessary that statutes may be enacted exclusively for restricting the freedoms under the restrictive clauses. Under Article 19(1), six freedoms have been laid down namely, freedom of speech and expression, freedom to assemble peacefully without arms, freedom to form associations and unions, freedom to move freely throughout the territory of India, freedom to reside and settle in any part of the territory in India, freedom to practice any profession or carry on any occupation, trade or business.Ĭorresponding to these six freedoms, certain grounds have been mentioned under article 19(2) to 19(6) on which the state may impose reasonable restrictions. This is where the concept of Reasonable Restrictions come in Article 19 of the constitution deals with freedoms and their respective grounds of restrictions. This means that the extent to which these rights could be exercised may be limited by the State.

I blog for the money, but the $10 or $20 I earn a month from Amazon affiliate fees pay my hosting bill. That link will take you to Amazon and I’ll make $1.5 for the sale. If you wanna buy the book, which I highly recommend, please use this link. Note #1: This cheat sheet is a good summary and is perfect if you’ve already read the book. If you decide to buy the book, please use my link! Lots of good info here and lots of awful advice, so be careful not to follow everything the book says. This book sounds kinda weird and evil (and sometimes it is) but it’s a fun read that tells the story of some of the most powerful people in history. If you have any comments or questions, just let me know in the comments.īelow is a cheat sheet (aka summary) of The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. Hey everyone…I wrote this guide a few years ago, but I’ve updated it in Spring of 2019.
